JOHN C. MCDONALD

Dr. McDonald was chancellor and dean of the LSU Health Sciences Center. He also served as the chairman of the department of surgery from 1977-2000. It was under his guidance the first kidney transplant was performed at LSU medical center in April 1976. Since then, our transplant team has performed thousands of kidney, pancreas and liver transplants.
