


JOHN C. MCDONALD
Dr. McDonald was chancellor and dean of the LSU Health Sciences Center. He also served as the chairman of the department of surgery from 1977-2000. It was under his guidance the first kidney transplant was performed at LSU medical center in April 1976. Since then, our transplant team has performed thousands of kidney, pancreas and liver transplants.
TRANSPLANT & HEPATO-PANCREATO-BILIARY (HPB) SYMPOSIUM
The goal of this symposium is to discuss new advances and common problems in the management of transplant patients. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to meet regional/national experts and discuss ways to service our population better.
